Mission Statement

MISSION STATEMENT. The Ordinary Marathoner Foundation promotes health and fitness through running and other activities, creating programs designed to help people of all ages and abilities achieve their goals and make dreams come true.

THE CALL FOR FITNESS. Running and other cardiovascular activities can significantly improve physical and mental health. As a form of aerobic exercise, running can reduce stress, improve cardiovascular health and help alleviate symptoms of depression. Our goal is to introduce, or re-introduce, this sport to people who may not believe it is accessible to them due to a lack of resources, knowledge, or guidance. The Ordinary Marathoner Foundation is uniquely positioned to encourage and provide support to runners of all skill levels.

HOW THE ORDINARY MARATHONER FOUNDATION CAN HELP. The Ordinary Marathoner Foundation Advisory Board consists of many athletes with unique stories and backgrounds. Among us are coaches and race directors who can help organize race events, conduct coaching clinics, and develop training programs. Financially, we can help with equipment purchases, fitness center access, race fees including travel and accommodations, scholarships, grants, and supporting other charitable organizations with like-minded goals.
