Our Board of Directors runs all business-aspects of the Foundation.

Scott Riecke

Executive Director, President

Scott Riecke currently resides in East Longmeadow, MA with his wife Stefany and two daughters, Samantha (11) and Ellie (2). He is the head coach of the Women’s Triathlon Team at American International College in Springfield, MA.

A 7x marathoner and 3x Ironman, Scott brings with him 21 years of business experience as an Institutional Fixed Income Trader and Portfolio Manager with Barings, LLC, Lehman Brothers Asset Management and Neuberger Berman. He has an undergraduate degree in Finance from Siena College and a Master’s Degree in Investment Management from Pace University.

He currently hosts the Ordinary Marathoner Podcast and is a Level I USA Triathlon Certified Running/Triathlon coach for Team Ordinary, LLC.

He continues training for various triathlons, marathons, and is eyeing up his first Ultramarathon in the near future.

Stefany Schaefer-Riecke

Director, Clerk

Stefany Schaefer lives in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, with her husband Scott, stepdaughter Samantha, and daughter Ellie. She earned a B.A. in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She works as a paralegal and divorce mediator at The Law Firm of John Yacos, P.C.

Stefany is devoted to community service and is a proud volunteer at FamilyKind, an organization that supports families going through a divorce, and is a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children in Hampden County, Massachusetts.

She began running in 2012 when she trained for her first half marathon with the American Cancer Society’s DetermiNation Team. Soon after, she became a fundraising mentor helping athletes fundraise for the organization.

Stefany is a 3x marathoner who hopes to encourage others to embrace running and endurance sports. She is thrilled to be part of this team and is looking forward to giving back to the running community

Carrie Rogers

Director, Vice President

Carrie Rogers currently resides in East Longmeadow MA with her husband Brian, daughter Allie and multiple fur babies.

A 2x marathoner, Carrie brings her unique occupational therapy perspective to running.  Carrie has been an occupational therapist for 22 years earning her BS from Bay Path University.  Carrie currently is an adjunct professor at Bay Path University while working full time as an occupational therapist with the intellectually and developmentally disabled population.  Carrie is the proud race director of an inclusive 5K in Connecticut where differently abled participants can compete.

Carrie believes that all endurance sports can be adapted and inclusive.  She looks forward to working with the Ordinary Marathoner Foundation team to assist with the foundation’s mission.

Brian Rogers

Director, Vice President

Brian Rogers lives in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts and is a proud father and grandfather to Laura, Allie and Kyrie.  

Brian is an Ironman finisher and has completed 4 marathons.  He has been a paralegal for over 20 years with a focus on worker’s compensation and personal injury. Brian also has coached youth and high school athletes. He is always on the go and constantly training for his next great adventure. He believes that with consistent training and time that all goals can be achieved. 

Brian looks forward to working with the team at the Ordinary Marathoner Foundation to bring his love of sports and running to as many individuals as possible.
